Green Day

 

Egy kaliforniai punk-rock együttes, mely 1986-ban alakult meg. Tagjai: Billie Joe Armstrong,, Tré Cool, Mike Dirnt, Jason White, Jason Freese, Mike Pelino, Ronnie Blake.

Billie Joe Armstrong és Mike Dirnt 1986-ban mindössze tizennégy évesen alapították meg a Sweet Children együttest. Első fellépésük 1986. október 17-én volt Vallejoban, Kalifornia államban.
1990-ben az együttes úgy döntött, hogy a Sweet Childrent Green Day-re keresztelik át. Ebben az évben csatlakozott a bandához John Kiffmeyer a dobos.
Nem sokkal az első album után Kiffmeyer távozott az együttesből, helyette Tré Cool került.
