Macklemore & Ryan Lewis

 

Ben Haggerty 1983 június 19-én Seattleben született. Ír származású, ismertebb neve Mackelmore, illetve korábbi neve Professor Macklemore. Amerikai rapper és zenész. Együtt dolgozik Ryan Lewis producerrel. Már 2000 óta zenél önállóan, azóta jelentős internetes rajongótáborra tett szert. Bár nem született zenész családba, szülei támogatták őt zenei vállalkozásaiban. Macklemore 6 éves volt, amikor a hip-hop először megjelent az életében. 14 évesen kezdett dalszövegeket írni. 2000-ben felvett egy elektronikus prezentációt Professzor Macklemore néven, amit ő maga osztott meg. 2005 januárjában kiadta az első, hivatalos albumát, a The Language of My World-öt. 2010 októberében összeállt Ryan Lewis producerrel.

 

Ryan Lewis 1988. március 25.-én született Spokane-ben (Washington, Egyesült Államok). Fiatal korában gitáron játszott, Profi fotós lett és elkezdte fotózni Macklemore-t, 2006 nyarán. Macklemore és Ryan nagyon jó barátok lettek. Ryan már 2006 óta aktívan készít Macklemore-ral műveket. A The VS. EP volt Ryan első albumja. Macklemore és Ryan 2008-ban jöttek össze, hogy kezdődjön a munka. A "Can’t Hold Us” a Miller sör reklámzenéje lett 2012 júniusában Írországban.
